The project took place at Meio University in Japan throughout January 2018 and January 2019. It was an interdisciplinary work in which English poetry and performance studies were integrated into a four-week poetry performance class for EFL students in a language education program. Specifically, the project used the theories and methods of Butо̄, a contemporary Japanese form of dance and visual art, to guide students through the process of interpretation, journaling, rehearsal, and the final performance. The details regarding methods, discussion and results can be found in the following publication:
